Over-the-counter (OTC) cards are a popular benefit because they help people save money on items they need. OTC cards can be used to purchase a number of products, like over-the-counter medicine, knee and wrist braces, and self-care items.
In this guide, we’ll share everything you need t o know about the Anthem OTC card benefit. We’ll explain what it is, how and where to use it, and what you can buy with your Anthem OTC card.
The Anthem OTC card is a benefit provided by some Anthem Medicare Advantage plans.
The Anthem OTC card provides plan enrollees with a prepaid card that can be used to buy over-the-counter items online, in a store, over the phone, or by mail.
You can use the Anthem OTC card to buy eligible items through your online portal, the Chapter OTC app, or at participating stores.
The Anthem OTC card is a benefit that comes with some Anthem Medicare Advantage plans. Not all Anthem Medicare Advantage plans will come with the OTC card benefit, and the amount you receive on your prepaid card will vary from one plan to another. As one example, the Anthem Medicare Advantage 2 (HMO) plan provides a $42 OTC benefit every three months.
Keep in mind that not all Anthem Medicare Advantage plans offer the OTC benefit. You should also note that other insurance companies offer plans with OTC card benefits.

You can use your Anthem OTC benefit online using the NationsBenefits portal or the Chapter OTC app.
Get started by activating your card and viewing your OTC spending allowance on the Benefits Pro Portal. signing into the portal via this link. Browse and place your order. Products will be delivered to your home with no shipping or delivery costs.
The Chapter OTC app is the easiest way to claim your Anthem OTC benefits. Once you create an account, you can browse through the Anthem OTC catalog, add things to your cart, and place an order.
You can use your Anthem OTC card to purchase eligible items at participating stores. You can find participating stores via your online portal.
*Note that you can use your Anthem OTC card at participating Walmart stores, but you cannot use the card on the Walmart website.
To place an order over the phone, you’ll call 866-413-2582 (TTY: 711) to get help from a representative. Just like if you order online, delivery is free.
Call NationsBenefits or visit your online portal to get more information about how to order OTC products by mail. When you place your order, your items will be delivered to your house with no shipping or delivery charges.
The NationsBenefits catalog will give you detailed information about what you can buy using your Anthem OTC card. Generally, you can buy things like:
